I watch helplessly
from hundreds of miles
away as you
slowly destroy yourself.

"So there isn't anything you don't like about me?"

I had no idea
what was really
behind that happy
bubbly personality
I loved so much.

"Well if you want me to think of something..."

smoking weed every night.
drinking before school.
fucking half the guys you know.

"...I wish you cared about yourself more."

You tell me about how you wish you
were better at killing yourself.
How everyone you know
that died
shouldn't be dead.
That you should
have died in their places.
Because you wanted to.
You want to.

"Me too."
I don't fix people.
I just watch them fall apart.

One of the hardest lessons I ever learned: you CAN'T fix people, no matter how badly you wish you could.

I've also resigned to that philosophy.
I still try to help though.

Me too, even though I know better.

Old habits die hard.

I used to watch ppl fall apart, then I became a hermit...
It's much less painful...
But there's less to write about...

"...I wish you cared about yourself more." Had that told to me before. I think a lot of life is watching helplessly as absolutely everything falls apart, and wishing you knew how to fix. And when it happens again, you wish you could have solved it the first time.

Hint-write something happy, it leads to less depressing comments ;)

Haha...i'll consider your advice. Every time I start writing something happy it turns out vaguely depressing if not downright tragic. Maybe one day...

You can really truely only write what you know, so I understand. Just a wish/hope for you rather than a real suggestion.
